How do I add a bookmark to my phone?
I want to use it like an app.
Answer
On Android
- Open Chrome
- Find the website you want to save
- Tap on the three dots in the top right corner
- Tap Add to Home screen
- You can edit the name that will appear with the icon
- Tap Add
- You can either touch and hold the icon to drag it where you want it, or tap Add to Home screen in the bottom right corner - this will place it in the first available space on your phone
On Apple
- Open Safari
- Find the website you want to save
- Tap the Share icon (the square with the arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don't see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you'll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)
- Type a name for your site link. This will be the title that appears beneath the icon on your Home screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen. Your new icon/bookmark will appear in the next available space on your device's Home screen.
