Answer

To print an article from JSTOR, you must download the PDF then print it from your PDF viewer.

After signing into JSTOR with your FoxID, you can search and view articles. After you have selected an article, the initial display includes an embedded box that allows you to page through the article, but that display does not include a print option.

You can print JSTOR articles, chapters, files, etc. after downloading the PDF file. To download and print an article PDF, take the following steps:

  1. Click the "Download" button that appears to the top right of the article. Download PDF button
  2. Open the file using your machine's file management system. (It will likely appear in your "downloads" folder, or similar, unless your system has been configured differently). The filename will likely be in the format of Author-Title-Year.pdf.
  3. Print the file directly from your PDF viewer by clicking Ctrl + P on a PC or Command-P on a Mac.
