Answer

You may find that you want to add something to your reading list that isn't available via the bookmark tool. Here's how to manually add something:

  1. Log in to Okta and open Olin Study Stax.
  2. Make sure you have Created a List and linked it to the appropriate course
  3. Go to My Bookmarks
  4. Click Add
  5. Select Add Manually
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to save the resource. You can either save the item to your bookmarks or save it directly to a list. The choice is yours!

Tip: In the Additional Fields area at the bottom of the screen is a field that says "Type." It defaults to showing author, but you can click on author and it will reveal different fields. If you want to add a link to something without using the bookmark tool, you'll want to select web address from the types, then click add

The notes in the Additional Fields area are only visible to you and do not appear anywhere else outside of your Bookmarks list. If you want to leave a note for the Library or your students, you'll have the option to do that once you add the resource to a list.
