How can I get things from other libraries?

Answer

No library can own everything that has ever been written or produced, but that's okay! We have something called Interlibrary Loan (ILL) which lets us borrow books, articles, and more from other libraries around the world.

One way to see what's out there beyond the Olin Library is to use R-Search, the search box on the Olin Library's homepage.

  1. Enter your search keywords as normal.
  2. When the results load, click or tap on "Include results beyond Olin" on the left side of the screen.
  3. You'll need to be signed in to the Library to be able to access this next part. Click or tap sign in at the top of the screen and enter your FoxID. (This is the same username and password you use for Canvas, myRollins, and your email)
  4. Once you find the item you want, click or tap on the title to open the item details.
  5. Click or tap on the "Find it for me" link
  6. Log in to Rollins InterLibrary Loan using your FoxID and password. (This is the same username and password you use for Canvas, myRollins, and your email)
  7. The form is already filled out, so all you have to do it click or tap "Submit Request" at the bottom of the screen. You'll receive an email when the item is available.

Please be sure to allow time for processing. Books can take 1-3 weeks to deliver, whereas articles only take about 1-3 business days.

If you have any questions, please email us at AskOlinLibrary@rollins.edu or call 407-646-2521.
